More In Depth
My Mission
I will continue to build on the partnerships I have already created and continue to explore new opportunities to enhance the wonderful City of Ferrysburg.
Goal 1

Maintain a balanced budget by ensuring expenditures are reviewed and evaluated.

My goal is to provide the taxpayers with the best return on investment for the City. Maintaining a balanced budget is achieved through collaborating and creating partnerships. Continuing to partner with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department will ensure our residents receive the highest quality of service and safety at a manageable cost.

Goal 2

Seek funding opportunities to assist with the city’s aging infrastructure.

I will continue to expand on my collaboration with the partnerships and stakeholders I established when I was mayor from 2017-2021. Partnerships included; MDOT and West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission, regional, state and congressional officials.  Partnering with MDOT Bureau of Bridges & Structures and the MDOT Bridge Bundling Initiative resulted in full replacement of the super structure of Smith’s Bridge.

Goal 3

Create a long-term strategic plan to ensure the city continues to successfully move forward as a thriving community.

As mayor, council, staff and department heads collaborated and established the first ever long-term strategic plan for the City. This plan provides the driving force to accomplish goals while moving the City of Ferrysburg forward with a successful plan of action.

Goal 4

Create community engagement opportunities for future generations to enjoy.

Community engagements are essential for creating a healthy environment for our residents. Having created multiple community opportunities as mayor, I will continue to establish more creative ways to showcase the wonderful City of Ferrysburg.
